Industry Interest Groups

What is an Industry Interest Group?

The professional needs of records and information management (RIM) professionals areas diverse as the industries they represent. The Interest Group program was specifically developed to link together those professionals working in similar industries facing similar needs. Interest Groups are similar to Round Tables and Break-out Groups which bring together smaller groups who have a common interest in a particular issue.

An Industry Interest Group is a group formed to focus on the specific needs of a particular industry (i.e., energy industry, local government, educational institutions, legal services, banking, and communications). They provide an opportunity to explore continuing and emerging opportunities and issues in an environment that provides both formal and informal opportunities for sharing ideas.
