     WHAT IS AN ISG?

The professional needs of records and information management (RIM) professionals   are as diverse as the   industries they represent.  The ISG program was specifically developed to link together those professionals   working in similar industries facing similar needs.  ISG's are  similar to Round Tables and Break-out Groups which bring together smaller groups who have a common interest in a particular issue.

An Industry Specific Group (ISG) is a group formed to focus on the specific needs of a particular industry (i.e., educational institutions, legal services, banking, and communications).  They provide an opportunity to explore continuing and emerging opportunities and issues in an environment that provides both formal and informal opportunities for sharing ideas.

Several ISG's are grouped together under Sectors lead by an ARMA Member, a Content Manager, who has volunteered to lead the Sector.  Answer the ARMA International Industry-Specific Groups Call for Experts.  Share your Specialty. http://www.arma.org/isg/callexperts
