Program on Applying Your Retention Schedules to Electronic Records in your ECM System

So you have a Document Management or ECM program. Now that your records are electronic and no longer in paper form, do you keep them forever?  Best practices suggest you should apply the retention schedules you developed for your paper files to your electronic records.  This session will address electronic records management.  It will cover the ways in which you can manage your electronic records according to your retention schedules or the Texas State Library schedules which serve as the basis for your records retention. We will discuss how you apply these schedules to individual records or groups of records using both date-based and event-based retention concepts.
