This discussion will focus on Telephoto (Astrophotography), Antiques and Data. How do these tie together?

Objects from Ancient history, Recent History and what will the future bring. How will information be preserved and what do you think should be preserved?  What will be relevant 100's or 1000's years from now?

Presented by David Parker, Roswitha Firth and Glen Sanderson

Bios will be added.

Roswitha Firth
Roswitha’s career arc began in an art gallery, which she later owned.  A sudden jump into IT Security led to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery work for Fortune-listed clients in the energy, insurance, and financial services industries.  A teleporter beamed her back to the alternate universe where she works again in an art gallery, this time one specializing in antique works on paper from 1500-1900.  In both places she holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Liberal Studies degrees from Rice University. She has personally held in her hands a rare surviving copy of the map that named America.

David Parker
David’s professional experience includes 20 years in auditing, consulting, and IT operations.  David is currently working at Calpine Corporation as the Director of Regulatory Compliance.  Prior, David spent the last 5 years as Calpine’s Director of Security, Risks, & Controls.  During David’s 5 year tenure as the IT Director, his leadership responsibilities included oversight of the IT Asset Management, Enterprise Business Continuity Planning (BCP), IT Procurement, IT Change Management, IT Risk & Compliance, IT Access Management, and IT Security functions.  David is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Glen Sanderson
Glen is the Records and Information Manager at Calpine Corporation where he has focused on consolidating storage vendors, improving records processes, migrating EDMS systems and bench-marking.  A Certified Records Manager since 2004.  His international experience includes developing a records program in Venezuela and standing up a scanning process in Angola.   A working highlight in his career was supporting the Deepwater Horizon effort in Louisiana.  In his spare time you may find volunteering for the Lighthouse for the Blind.
